Levine, M.D., professor of the Department of Medicine\u2019s Division of Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine, will become only the fifth woman to serve as president of the American College of Chest Physicians in the past 80 years.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Levine is director of the Pulmonary\/Critical Care Fellowship Program and director of the VA Pulmonary Consult Service.<\/p>\n<p>She has served as a regent-at-large on the board of regents of CHEST, the American College of Chest Physicians. She has also served as the editor-in-chief of the CHEST publication\u00a0<em>Pulmonary SEEK (Self-Examination and Evaluation of Knowledge)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Levine received her medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and completed her residency in internal medicine at New York University.
