We currently perform above half million imaging exams across our practices. With the meteoric growth we are seeing across both healthcare systems, we continue to increase our imaging capacity, allowing us to be even more impactful in all our missions \u2013 more diverse educational opportunities, more collaborative innovation and improved access to care.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Education:<br \/>\n<\/strong>-ACGME accredited Residency Programs for Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology Integrated residency training that produce healthcare leaders of tomorrow.<br \/>\n-Fellowship programs for Body Imaging and Intervention, Body MR Imaging, Breast Imaging and Intervention, Cardiothoracic, Emergency Radiology, Intervention Radiology Independent, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology, and Breast\/Women\u2019s Imaging and Intervention.<br \/>\n-Professional Doctorate of Medical Physics program and one of the largest Radiological Sciences Graduate Degree Program in the United States in alliance with the UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.<br \/>\n-Master of Science in Imaging Science Program for radiology technologists in alliance with the UT School of Health Professions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Research:<br \/>\n<\/strong>-Ranked in the top 50 for NIH research funding for the last 5 years, with increase in the 2024 NIH funding to $ 7.3 million (ranked #30). This will continue to increase as we partner with the UT Biggs Institute for Alzheimer\u2019s and Neurodegenerative Diseases and the UT Research Imaging Institute.<br \/>\n-Innovative research laboratories that produced the Vascular Stent &amp; Endothelial Cell Research by Dr. Julio C. Palmaz (Inventor of the Palmaz\u2122 intravascular stent), Biomolecular Nanoparticle Imaging and Therapeutic Systems and the Organ flow lab for Oncological Imaging and Interventions research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are part of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uthscsa.edu\/\">UT Health San Antonio<\/a>\u00a0and our imaging centers are located at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uthscsa.edu\/physicians\/location\/Medical-Arts-Research-Center\">Medical Arts Research Center (MARC)<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.uthscsa.edu\/doctors-and-locations\/doctors-and-clinics\/ut-health-hill-country\">UT Health Hill Country<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uthscsa.edu\/physicians\/ut-health-kyle-seale\">UT Health Kyle Seale Parkway<\/a>. UT Health San Antonio\u2019s inpatient facility, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uthealthsahospital.org\/\">Multispecialty and Research Hospital<\/a> (opened in December 2024) offers subspecialty care in cancer, orthopedics, urology, thoracic and bariatric surgery, and is the site for early phase clinical trials for cancer treatment. The growth in UT Imaging Centers in the near future includes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cancer.uthscsa.edu\/cancer-care\/programs\/breast-cancer-program\">UT Breast Health Center at the Mays Cancer Center<\/a>\u00a0(summer 2026),\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uthscsa.edu\/physicians\/location\/Westover-Hills\">UT Health Westover Hills<\/a>\u00a0(fall 2026), and the Human Performance Institute (spring 2027). The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/advancingbrainhealth.org\/\">UT Health Center for Brain Health<\/a>\u00a0projected to start December 2025, will bring the first 7 Tesla MRI magnet to San Antonio and South Texas and add to our PET CT capabilities for neurocognitive diseases.<\/p>\n<p>Our primary clinical partner, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.universityhealth.com\/\">University Health System<\/a>, has two hospitals \u2013 a 600-bed hospital with a Level 1 Trauma center; and a 200-bed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.universityhealth.com\/sayhello\">University Health Women\u2019s and Children\u2019s Hospital<\/a>\u00a0(opened in December 2023), both providing tertiary level care to patients in all sub-specialties. University Health Imaging Center located at the downtown\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.universityhealth.com\/locations\/robert-b-green-campus\">Robert B. Green Campus<\/a>\u00a0provides cross-sectional imaging for our ambulatory care network.
