Candidates may enter the independent IR Residency after finishing their diagnostic radiology residency.<\/p>\n<p>The UT Health San Antonio <strong>Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency Program <\/strong>is a 5-year ACGME (advanced position) accredited program that integrates 3 years of diagnostic radiology (DR) with 2 years of dedicated interventional radiology (IR) training. Candidates may enter the integrated IR-DR Residency directly from medical school following a 1-year internship (Prelim-Surgery (preferred), Prelim-Medicine, or Transitional Year).<\/p>\n<p class=\"far\">Candidates are chosen based on their medical education, achievements, and personal qualities. No preference is given to any particular medical school or geographic region, nor is race, sex or national origin a consideration.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Application Instructions:<\/h2>\n<p>Currently, UT Health San Antonio IR residency program is accepting applications to fill 2 residency positions through the NRMP Match.
