We offer a one-year clinical fellowship designed to provide training in the techniques and interpretation of abdominal imaging examinations, with advanced training in body magnetic resonance imaging. Clinical responsibilities are shared between one body MRI fellow and two Body Imaging & Intervention fellows. <\/span><\/p>\n

Curriculum:<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Body MRI fellowship program is an intensive one year program designed to enhance and strengthen skills in abdominal imaging and intervention, with a special emphasis on MRI. Our institution encompasses multiple outpatient facilities as well as a busy tertiary hospital which includes level 1 trauma and transplantation. Fellows are responsible for clinical Body MRI services to three inpatient and three outpatient MRI scanners with a volume of approximately 60 to 80 MRIs per week. We are anticipating an additional top of the line 3T MRI scanner in the coming months. Latest body imaging techniques are routinely utilized, to include parallel imaging, diffusion-weighted imaging, non-gadolinium MR angiography, dynamic floor imaging, MR enterography, and multiparametric prostate imaging. The Body MRI fellow also has a strong academic presence in the Abdominal Imaging section, with responsibility for organizing MR conference for the Radiology Residents and presenting at interdisciplinary tumor boards. There is ample scope to do research, which is encouraged and supported, although it is optional. In addition to advancing skills in MRI, the fellowship also includes components of Abdominal\/Pelvic CT Imaging and US\/CT Guided Interventions. This position includes a junior-faculty appointment which requires participation in after-hours ER faculty coverage pool if the candidate is able to acquire a Texas Medical License.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]
