Student Surgical Society

The Student Surgical Society serves to provide UT Health San Antonio students opportunities to learn about and experience the fields of general surgery and its subspecialties. Throughout the course of the year we will be coordinating various activities that allow students to interact with residents and faculty in general surgery and to explore their interest in the specialties. Activities shall include, but are not limited to, invited guest speakers, suture workshops, scrub workshops, panels with senior medical students and residents, and social events. The Student Surgical Society leadership shall work cooperatively and collaboratively with the faculty members of the Department of Surgery to achieve these goals.
