Aashish Rajesh

Aashish grew up in Chennai, a metropolitan city on the southeast coast of India and schooled partly in India and partly in Singapore. Subsequently, he pursued his medical education at Madras Medical College, one of the oldest medical schools in India (established in 1835). The desire to acquire top-notch surgical training is what drew him to the general surgery residency program at UT Health San Antonio. With an interest in surgical education, he is gearing towards an academic career and applying for a fellowship in surgical critical care. Outside work, he plays in the San Antonio cricket league, is an outdoor enthusiast and an avid traveller.
