Claire Gerall

Dr. Gerall was born and raised in Houston, Tx. She attended and played basketball at University of Chicago before finishing her BS in Neuroscience at Trinity University. She completed medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and continued with general surgery residency training at UT Health San Antonio. During dedicated research years, Dr. Gerall completed a two-year pediatric ECMO fellowship as well as pediatric surgery research at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Research interests include Wilms tumor, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, ECMO, and whole blood. She is also very passionate about innovation in medicine as well as global health.  Dr. Gerall is in her last year of residency training and will begin pediatric surgery fellowship next year at Columbia University’s Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City.
