Dr. Raghunandan is the advisor for medical students interested in pursuing physical medicine and rehabilitation as a specialty at the Long School of Medicine. Through his mentorship, I have gained so much insight into the field and have a deeper understanding of what it means to be a physiatrist. His sharing of his abundance of skills involving ultrasound-guided muscular examinations has helped me develop better exam skills and become a better clinician for my future patients. He has been a constant source for mentorship and guidance in me pursuing my career path. Recently, he became the module co-director for second-year medical students for the Musculoskeletal course, and now he is opening the minds of more junior medical students to this small yet crucial field of medicine. I believe he is an outstanding educator and well-deserving of this award.
