Dr. Sager works hard and leads first by example. He works incredibly well with the residents and always makes a point to show up for our after-work activities. He is encouraging to the residents and likes to teach his surgical techniques as well as review the orthopedic literature relevant to our cases each day. He does an exceptional job of getting his residents involved with the surgeries rather than simply having them watch. He does a great job of being a coach and mentor in the way that he encourages us and always looks for lessons to be learned from the difficult cases. There are very few who work as hard as he does and very few who treat the residents with as much care and respect as he does. He is a wonderful faculty and a gift to our department.
