Personal Statement:

Gorana is a graduate student in the Neuroscience discipline of the Integrated Biomedical Sciences program. She is working in Dr. Greg Collins’ lab studying substance use disorders. Her research uses physiological and behavioral approaches to investigate the cardiovascular, respiratory, and withdrawal effects of fentanyl and its adulterants (e.g., xylazine), alone and in combination, to uncover the mechanisms driving their co-use and inform treatment strategies for overdose and polysubstance withdrawal.

Gorana enjoys running, traveling, and reading.
