Guolan Xiao, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Personal Statement:
I am a postdoctoral researcher working under the guidance of Dr. Hong-yu Li at UTHSCSA. My research is focused on the discovery and development of chemical compounds for catalytic degradation of targeted Proteins. Our strategies include proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) and lysosome-targeting chimaeras (LYTAC). They can effectively degrade targets that are “undruggable” for traditional small molecule inhibitors, greatly expanding the potential of therapies for tumors and other refractory diseases.
