Personal Statement:

Jycole is a graduate student in the cancer biology discipline of the Integrated Biomedical Sciences PhD program. She is working in Dr. April Risinger’s lab studying cancer pharmacology. Her research involves identifying biomarkers to improve the response of breast cancer patients to currently approved chemotherapeutics and developing new targeted therapeutic options to improve the treatment of breast cancer and other solid tumors.

Jycole enjoys disc golfing, strength training, cooking and trying new coffee shops
