Personal Statement:

Megan is a graduate student in the Integrated Biomedical Sciences program in the Neuroscience discipline. She studies the effects and mechanisms of stress-related psychiatric disorders in Dr. David Morilak’s lab. Her research utilizes viral-based chemogenetics, behavioral techniques, and fiber photometry to elucidate the circuitry involved in the pathology and treatment of disorders such as depression, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. When not in the lab or studying, Megan also enjoys reading and playing sand volleyball.
