Personal Statement:

For me, UT Health San Antonio offers the ideal balance between rigorous pulmonary training and high-acuity critical care, exposing fellows to a breadth of pathology that’s hard to match anywhere else. Having completed my residency in El Paso, I developed a strong passion for caring for diverse and medically underserved Hispanic populations, so the patient demographic here feels like a natural continuation of my purpose. Finally, during my interview day, the genuine happiness and camaraderie among the fellows and faculty made it clear that this is a supportive culture where I’d really thrive.
