Welcome Our New Medical Physicist
We are excited to announce that Dr. Nema Bassiri, PhD has joined our department as an assistant professor of medical physics.
Dr. Nema Bassiri comes to beautiful San Antonio from sunny Miami! Dr. Bassiri received his B.S. from Texas A&M and Ph.D. from UT Health, He completed his residency from UC Davis and practiced medical physics in Miami. His research interests include gold nanoparticles, MR-linac radiation therapy, and adaptive radiotherapy. In his spare time, Nema likes to read, play chess and guitar, as well as cook. Nema is on a quest to find the best tacos in San Antonio.
