Mark G. Davies, M.D., PhD., MBA – Professor and Chief
Dr. Davies is Professor and Chief, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UT Health San Antonio and Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University Hospital San Antonio. His clinical interests are focused on the management of complex aortic, carotid and lower extremity disease. He is a pioneer in new endovascular and molecular therapies and has participated in multiple clinical device and gene therapy trials. His clinical research is in vascular quality, vascular education and outcomes. His administrative interests relate to leadership development, managing human capital, enhancing service and quality operations, reporting and LEAN process improvement. Dr. Davies is also widely published in basic science on subjects related in arterial injury, vein graft remodeling and metabolic syndrome. His focus in these areas is Protease and G-protein biology. Dr. Davies is an active clinical teacher and mentor locally and nationally.
