We offer 2 surgical residencies (General Surgery and Plastic Surgery) and an optional Research Residency Program between the clinical PG2 and PG3 years.
Fellowships
We offer fellowship programs in Surgical Critical Care and Vascular Surgery.

We offer a variety of educational experiences for medical students.
Resident Wellness
We take resident wellness seriously. We have created a Wellness Committee of faculty and residents with the intent of providing resources and activities designed to promote our residents’ well-being.

Frustrated with the outdated technology he found throughout his medical and military surgical career, Ramon Cestero, MD, MBA, FACS, FCCM, trauma surgeon and clinical professor in the Department of Surgery, invented a new design for an abdominal surgical retractor, helping to advance surgical procedures and improve patient outcomes.
