Clinical Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery
Program Overview
UT Health San Antonio is proud to offer the Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery. Our one-year program provides experience with breast, lymphedema, and extremity microsurgery for traumatic and oncologic defects. Additional exposure to head and neck as well as robotic flap reconstruction, is available. With an annual case volume of over 300 microsurgical flaps, we offer a robust training experience, and graduates of our program will be well-equipped for independent practice. As a fellow, the successful applicant will be treated as faculty, have attending privileges, and be able to staff non-microsurgery reconstructive and trauma cases at University Hospital as well as our new Multi-Specialty and Research Hospital. The fellow will take general plastic surgery and face/hand trauma call as a faculty member with resident coverage on a frequency of 1:8 weeks. Senior faculty will provide support for any microsurgical or complex cases during call. The position requires a full, unrestricted Texas Medical License, and we are unable to take any applicants requiring visa sponsorship (of any kind).
