Mustafa Khan

Dr. Mustafa Khan was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and raised in Tigard, Oregon. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with a minor in biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013 with High Honors. He attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, where he graduated with Honors and as a President’s Scholar.

During his general surgery residency, Dr. Khan completed a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship in cancer immunotherapy, which was funded by the National Cancer Institute’s Ruth L. Kirschstein Institutional Research Training Grant (T32). He also worked as a senior research associate in surgical education at Lackland Air Force Base, with funding from the Department of Defense (DOD).

Dr. Khan plans to pursue a fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after completing his residency. He is married to Dr. Mahwish Khan, a fellow in pediatric endocrinology, and they have two children named Zain and Noreen.
