Nicholas Hise
Nick was born and raised in Indiana, where he completed his undergraduate, masters, and medical degrees. General surgery piqued his interest early in his third year of medical school during his surgery clerkship, during which he operated as a first assist with an attending general surgeon in rural Indiana. After moving to San Antonio for residency, he soon met his future wife, Kate, who is a recent graduate of the OB/GYN residency program. They have a yellow lab, Olive, and enjoy taking her to breweries and parks across San Antonio in their free time. Nick’s professional interests include robotic/minimally-invasive surgery, bariatrics, and foregut surgery. He plans to apply for MIS/bariatrics fellowship this year.
