Richard Walsh (AF)
Hello all, I’m a first generation American who grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, but our family got our healthcare from the city and it was my city growing up. I worked in a south side ER and trauma center as a technician and trained numerous techs over my 2.5 years while gaining an appreciation for the work flow of nursing staff. I love surgery because we make an active difference for a likely scared patient as we cure disease, stop bleeding, or remove cancer while walking with them during their perioperative journey. It is a gift to learn surgery and I’m very happy to learn it here with our residency family. I’m active duty Air force and in my free time love exploring the city with my dear wife Zarina or exploring my apartment with my cat Flora ( Fluoroquinolone ).
