Shawn Frame
Resident
Dr. Shawn Frame was born in St. Charles, Missouri and later moved to San Antonio, where he has remained for the entirety of his academic career. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He worked for the next seven years at University Hospital as a nurse in the Trauma Resuscitation Unit and Neuroscience ICU. During his tenor at University Hospital, he led several initiatives, including the system wide Ultrasound Guided Vascular Access Training. He later graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine before securing his residency in General Surgery. His interests are focused on Trauma Critical Care, Burn management and Pediatric Surgery.
