William Hopper

William Hopper

Dr. Hopper was born in New Mexico but was fortunate enough to be raised in the Texas Panhandle. He went to TCU, where he studied business before an uninspiring interview at an investment bank inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. After graduating, he worked for a non-profit microfinance organization in the Dominican Republic & taught English in Malaysia on a Fulbright scholarship. He attended the UTHSCSA Long School of Medicine & stayed in San Antonio for his General Surgery training. While in San Antonio, he met his wife, an excellent surgeon & even better woman, with whom he has one wild boy. He will be going to Baylor Scott & White in Dallas for a Vascular Surgery fellowship upon completion of residency. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, hunting, college football, & most importantly, spending time with his family & two dogs.
