Dr. Gilbert is an exemplary educator, scientist, and role model for trainees. She selflessly dedicates herself to educating students, residents, and fellows through a multidisciplinary approach utilizing virtual, laboratory, and hands-on formats. She regularly goes out of her way to provide didactic opportunities for residents from all specialities and plays a crucial role in board exam preparation for neurology and neurosurgery residents. She also demonstrates her passion for teaching through her own website adventuresinneuropathology.com where she provides free educational material. Dr. Gilbert is the utmost professional and intricately synthesizes complex material into understandable, fun, and memorable content. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of a star educator award than Dr. Gilbert.
