Dr. Calvo is a great teacher. When I operate with her, she makes me think critically and come up with the answers on my own. She gradually allowed me to do more and more each time we scrubbed in together, always with her supervising and guiding me too. She is a fantastic role model in clinic too. She has great bedside manners and a way of explaining things to me that just makes things click. She made me improve my assessments and plans by systematically approaching these. She motivated me to learn my patients completely before the operating room and by doing that I’m a better surgeon than before.
