Dr. Michael Palm has done an absolutely amazing job as the Neurology Residency Program Director. Under his care, it has become a highly sought after residency program. Dr. Palm reworked the residency didactics to give the residents protected time on Wednesday. Scores for the NRITE have improved and residents consistently have been passing board exams. He created the Neurology Clinician Educator Track, for trainees interested in teaching and academics. Residents in that track have gone on to do prestigious fellowships such as neurocritical care at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Dr. Palm encourages input from all levels of trainees, staff and faculty to help improve the program. He consistently enacts positive changes to the program, such as implementing a mentoring program for junior residents starting new duties. He is a kind and responsible person and an excellent mentor for the trainees.
