Anne L. Sandstrom, MD

Personal Statement:

Dr. Sandstrom was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at Baylor University. She returned to North Dakota to obtain her medical degree. Her professional interests remain broad and include adult cardiac surgery. Her research interests are health disparities, particularly those faced by Native American communities, and she has previously conducted research on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading historical fiction, listening to true crime podcasts, and playing with her cat Benny.
