Personal Statement:

Dr. DeArmond specializes in minimally invasive thoracic surgery: Performs video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) and robotic-assisted pulmonary, esophageal, and mediastinal surgery with an emphasis on VATS lobectomy for treatment of lung cancer. Provides all facets of lung transplantation including donor management, donor/recipient selection, pre-operative work-up, surgery, and post-operative care.Current clinical appointments at Cancer Therapy and Research Center, St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital (Director of Minimally Invasive Lung Surgery), and University Hospital (lung transplantation) in San Antonio, Texas.
