Personal Statement:
Dr. Beyer is a Texas native happy to be back in Texas, where she can proudly say “hook ‘em horns” after attending medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. After receiving her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019, she worked as a barista for a year while applying to medical school. Professionally, she is interested in adult cardiac surgery, especially valvular pathologies and arrhythmia surgery. She enjoys attending cardiothoracic conferences, where she has been given the opportunity to present both posters and on the podium, including University of Florida’s 2024 Aortic Symposium, where she presented a poster on an aortic pseudoaneurysm and fistula case. In her free time, she enjoys making craft coffee, rollerblading, and doing any activity that involves a body of water.
