Mia Beyer, MD

Personal Statement:

Dr. Beyer is a Texas native coming from spending the last four years in medical school in sunny south Florida. She is happy to be back in Texas, where she can proudly say “hook ‘em horns” again. After receiving her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019, she worked as a barista for a year while applying to medical school. Professionally, she is interested in adult cardiac surgery, especially valvular pathologies and arrhythmia surgery. She enjoys attending cardiothoracic conferences, where she has been given the opportunity to present both posters and on the podium. In her free time, she enjoys making craft coffee, rollerblading, and doing any activity that involves a body of water.
