Internship: UT Health San Antonio
San Antonio, TXI was born and raised in Bulgaria, and in 2004 my family immigrated to the United States and settled in San Antonio. Since then, San Antonio has been my home, offering tremendous opportunities. I went to Health Careers High School, UTSA (for undergrad), and UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine. Being accepted into our dermatology program was a dream that came true. During my free time, I am surrounded by my family - my loving husband (internal medicine resident), our baby daughter Sophia, our parents and siblings, and our two dogs (Spartacus and Lightning). To de-stress, I bake traditional Bulgarian bread or dance Bulgarian dances. Walking, site-seeing, traveling, gardening, photography, and film editing are a passion of mine. I plan on staying in San Antonio and practicing general and medical dermatology in an academic setting - either at UT or the VA, where I will have the chance to work with residents and medical students while I continue to be a life-long learner. A large part of my success is due to my amazing mentors, and my goal is to provide similar mentorship to those who want to follow in my footsteps.

McKenna Odom, MDBaylor College of MedicineAllen, TXWhile I've lived my whole life in Texas, I was also blessed to spend my summers in northern Michigan where I learned to sail, worked as a camp counselor, and gained my first exposure to dermatology.
