Welcome to the Division of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at UT Health San Antonio. I am so very excited to be part of this team of amazing people who are all dedicated to taking the best care of our patients as well as teaching our future generations of dermatologists.

We are privileged to be able to take care of our diverse population in South Texas and see a wide array of dermatologic conditions. And, we have been growing! We have a wonderful site at Mays Cancer Center where we have a full range of services.  We treat all skin cancers and have a state of the art on-site surgical suite where we have our own Mohs surgeon and Mohs laboratory. We have a team approach in the care of advanced skin cancers such as melanoma with our team of Dermatologists, in collaboration with our colleagues in Pathology, Hematology/Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Radiation/Radiation Oncology, ENT, Plastics, Oculoplastics and more. We also treat common and uncommon conditions including eczema, psoriasis, blistering disorders, hair disorders and a wide range of infectious diseases. We specialize in phototherapy for the treatment of psoriasis, cutaneous lymphoma and other chronic skin conditions, and patch testing for contact dermatitis. We have our aesthetic specialist who is committed to having you look your best with botox, fillers, laser rejuvenation and facial products. We recently added another location, UT Health Hill Country, where we also perform medical and surgical dermatology. At that site we have one of the few fellowship trained Pediatric Dermatologists in the city!

We are very proud of our Dermatology residents and have been growing our program over the last 10 years. We are committed to their combined training at our UT Health sites as well as our affiliated VA site and at the University Hospital for inpatient care. We have a dedicated group of teachers and mentors and we are so pleased about our residents and medical students who display such brilliance and enthusiasm.  We know that they will be our future leaders in our specialties.

And, we are committed to our San Antonio community.  Our medical students, residents and dermatologists combined with our community dermatologists perform numerous volunteer activities, including our yearly free skin cancer event, our affiliated student run free clinic, and other events throughout the year.

Please take a few minutes to review our website and our programs. We welcome you to our division!
