Why Emergency Medicine?

After initially starting in Surgery, it was the breadth and variety of patient presentations and opportunities that urged me to make the switch. I have particular interests in prehospital care including disaster response, tactical medicine, and delivery of healthcare in austere environments.

 

Why did you choose UT Health?

I think the value of mentorship during training cannot be understated. The faculty at UTSA has an incredibly broad range of interests and areas of expertise from which to learn. Furthermore, the residents seemed to genuinely care about the program and each other.
