Our Department has the most Emergency Medicine board-certified physicians in any teaching hospital in South Texas. We are the physician practice for University Hospital’s Emergency Department. Our advanced practice providers and physicians provide comprehensive care to many of the most critically ill and injured patients from San Antonio, Bexar County, South Texas, and beyond. University Hospital’s Emergency Department is an integral component to the premier adult and pediatric Level I trauma center in South Texas.
