Why Emergency Medicine?

Because everyday is an adventure! I love going into work, not knowing what kind of cases I will see that day, and having to think on my feet. In Emergency Medicine, you get the privilege of taking care of people on the worst days of their lives, and that is a very special and rewarding responsibility.

 

Whey did you choose UT Health?

The people, the people, the people. I couldn’t ask for a better, more positive training environment. The culture here is very uplifting, and it was very clear to me when I first arrived here that everyone wants you to succeed. Combine that with a Level 1 Trauma Center and a county hospital training, I knew I would leave residency feeling very comfortable in my medicine.
