Why Emergency Medicine?

I scribed in the ER and fell in love with the fast-paced environment and the teamwork that goes into patient care. The excitement of not knowing what’s coming through the door and resuscitating critical patients never gets old.

Why did you choose UT Health?

UTHSCSA surprised me. The people welcomed me. The interviewers really got to know me. We conversed over topics that we held shared passions for like raising goats, reading fantasy novels, yoga, and global health. The residents felt like a family and they loved their program. I left interview day feeling rejuvenated and raving about the program. Literally raving. In the midst of interview season where you’re pressured to put forward the “best version of you,” I came to San Antonio and felt that I could be myself.
