An Update on Evidence-Based Therapies in Primary Care

Overview:

Primary care providers have the privilege of caring for patients with a wide range of medical conditions. With this privilege comes the challenge of keeping up-to-date with new evidence and research to guide practice. This presentation will provide an update on recent evidence and guidelines that will likely change your practice. Topics include new recommendations on the management of asthma, COPD, hypertension, immunizations, diabetes, neuropathy and heart failure.

Objectives:

• Review brief summaries of recent evidence that updates common therapeutic practices.
• Discuss new clinical pearls on selected guidelines.
• Provide references for more in-depth review of therapeutic updates.
