This presentation provides an overview of the neurobiology of chronic pain and demonstrates how utilization of the family medicine model can optimize outcomes for patients.

By the end of the talk, participants should be able to

• Describe the rationale for comprehensive pain management techniques
• Apply principles of pain management to address pain interference and
• Implement best practices to limit negative outcomes for patients and catalyze their success with recovery
