Three of our residents: Kennedy Tlaseca, MD, PGY3, Juliana Zamora Cubillos, MD, PGY3 and Nida Hussain, MD, PGY3; mentored by Cristian Fernandez-Falcon, MD, Assistant Professor/Clinical, will present three of the 2018 Patient Oriented Evidence that Matters (POEMs) studies that where published in the American Family Physician Journal. These POEMs cover the following important topics:
- “Physical Activity Associated with Reduced Incidence of Depression”
- “One Third of Patients with Anxiety Disorder Will Relapse When SSRI/SNRI Treatment Stops”
- “Nonbenzodiazepine Hypnotic Drugs Are Associated with Increased Fractures in Older Adults”
