Overview:

While the world has been focused on the pandemic for years, bacterial infections are still relevant for our patients. It can be daunting to remember “bug-drug” coverage. During this presentation Dr. Tina Beck will refresh providers on antibiotics (old and new) that can cover three common pathogens experienced in practice. Additionally, Dr. Beck will discuss the monitoring parameters for common antibiotics.

Objectives:

  • Identify which antibiotics cover Streptococcus species, Escherichia coli (E. coli) , and Enterococcus infections.
  • List monitoring parameters for common antibiotics.
