Overview:

Lifestyle Intervention for Treatment and Remission of Type 2 Diabetes and Prediabetes in Adults

This presentation will focus on positioning lifestyle intervention as the first-line management for type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and prediabetes, and as a cornerstone for preventing T2DM in individuals with prediabetes, or a history of gestational diabetes.The talk will highlight the six pillars of lifestyle medicine, and provide practical strategies for clinicians to implement these interventions effectively with patients.

After this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  1. Highlight the role of lifestyle interventions in managing Type 2 Diabetes(T2DM) and prediabetes
  2. Introduce the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine
  3. Provide evidence-based recommendations
  4. Offer practical implementation strategies
