Overview:

Ophthalmology for primary care! During this presentation, Dr. Lilian Nguyen will focus on common ophthalmic conditions and will identify core ophthalmic knowledge for all primary care practitioners.  She will also review how to manage various ocular conditions as well as when to refer.

Objectives:

  • Describe the anatomy of the eye and the visual system.
  • Identify causes of acute painless vision loss, chronic vision loss, and red or painful eye.
  • Describe ocular manifestations of systemic disease.
