Overview:

Evidence-based practice requires practice-based evidence. Academic disciplines and practice must sit upon a foundation of scholarship. But conducting research in practice poses numerous challenges. This presentation will provide recommendations and tips for the practitioner seeking to pursue research within their practice, from supportive environments and colleagues to topics and methods. Not only can the incorporation of research contribute to our discipline, but the renewal of discovery can recapture the excitement that initially drew us into medicine.
