Overview:

Headaches are one of the most common and/or chief complaints in Primary Care. Often, it is difficult to differentiate between a primary and secondary headache. This presentation will help attendees understand the differences between these two types of headaches and other headaches, as well as discuss treatment plans in the primary care setting.

Objectives:

  1.  Describe the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD) its importance in the care of headache patients.
  2.  Discuss the diagnosis and complications of migraine headaches.
  3.  Consider and apply migraine treatments.
