We generated a new and advanced humanized mouse model, THX mice, which mount mature T-dependent and T-independent antibody responses to conjugated haptens and microbial components, and are also amenable to develop full-blown lupus-like autoimmune disease. Such advancements allow for the study of human antibody and autoantibody responses, along with the mechanisms underpinning the maturation of such responses, in vivo.
