Funding Announcement – Ashley Auerbach
Program: IBMS – Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics (MIMG)
Mentor: Dr. Reuben Harris
Ashley Auerbach is a 4th-year IBMS PhD student in the MIMG discipline and is completing her dissertation research in Dr. Reuben Harris’ laboratory.
Ashley received an F31 from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to fund 2 years of her research project investigating the molecular mechanisms of APOBEC3B nuclear import and the impact of nuclear localization on viral restriction.
Ashley is not only dedicated to her research, she is deeply engaged in the UTHSCSA community. Earlier this year, Ashley won the Outstanding Student Leadership Award for her dedication and leadership in student activities and organizations.
