Congratulations to Dr. Tori Baxter
Dr. Tori Baxter was selected as one of two 2025-2026 Graduate Mentors of the Year from UT San Antonio, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. An honor that recognizes exceptional faculty who go above and beyond in supporting the academic, professional and personal development of their graduate students.
Victoria Baxter, PhD is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Dr. Baxter was nominated by Freedom Green, a MD/PhD Student in the Integrated Biomedical Sciences – Molecular Immunology & Microbiology Discipline. In her nomination, Freedom Green explains Dr. Baxter “combines exceptional scientific skill with an extraordinary capacity for caring. She is equally comfortable troubleshooting experiments at the bench, helping refine a grant, thinking through the bigger scientific picture, or supporting trainees through personal and professional challenges.”
