Congratulations to the Bhat Lab for receiving funding from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on a 3 year research project titled ” Restoration of Axonal Domains in Myelinated Axons and Prevention of Motor Disability”. The goals of this project are to restore specific axonal domains in myelinated axons with the hope of improving nerve impulse conduction to prevent and/or reverse muscle atrophy.

Congratulations to the Lee lab for their recent publication in Scientific Reports! Especially to the Lee lab students (high school and Undergraduate) and a talented research assistant, Shree Panda, who worked very hard to get this project published. This study is about a novel behavioral phenotype (contagious itch behavior) in a mouse model of Fragile X Syndrome, which is a neurodevelopmental disorder and is often accompanied with autistic features.
