“Dr. Kevin Ozment is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. He is a board-certified specialist in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Sports Medicine. He completed his residency training at Northwestern University/Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago and fellowship training at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He currently serves as a Medical Advisor to USA Fencing. Dr. Ozment specializes in non-surgical Sports Medicine including diagnostic and interventional ultrasound, management of acute and chronic sports-related musculoskeletal conditions (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, foot), and spine medicine.

His approach to patient care is guided by providing comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s specific circumstances. He works to coordinate full orthopaedic care for his patients and treats those within a wide range of sports-related and musculoskeletal issues. As a San Antonio native, Dr. Ozment strives to provide holistic rehabilitative sports medicine care to the community of South Texas. From elite athletes to weekend warriors, or simply someone striving for a more active lifestyle, Dr. Ozment focuses his clinical practice on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related and musculoskeletal conditions in people of all ages.

 

Although Dr. Ozment prioritizes the least invasive treatment methods, he is also trained in ultrasound-guided injections for joint, tendon, nerve, and muscle pathology, including platelet-rich plasma and viscosupplementation, as well as fluoroscopic guided injections of the lumbosacral spine and peripheral joints.”
