Division of Diabetes
Our mission is to combine excellence in clinical research: (i) to define the pathophysiologic abnormalities responsible for type 2 diabetes mellitus and (ii) to develop novel therapies for the treatment of individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Our Research
Our team conducts clinical research through a network of partnerships with the South Texas Veterans Health Care System and the Texas Diabetes Institute.
Our Patient Care
The Texas Diabetes Institute is the largest clinical center in the world devoted primarily to the care of people with Type 2 Diabetes.
