Department of Medicine Grand Rounds Hosted Weser Lecture Speaker Dr. Jason Dominitz
Dr. Jason Dominitz, President of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Washington, was the featured speaker for the UT Health San Antonio Department of Medicine – Gastroenterology Grand Rounds on May 27, 2026.
During his presentation, titled “Shining Light Where the Sun Don’t Shine: Is Colonoscopy the Best Colorectal Cancer Screening Test?”, Dr. Dominitz provided an insightful review of current colorectal cancer screening strategies, examining the strengths and limitations of colonoscopy in comparison with other available screening modalities.
